Atomic age coat rack

This 1950s "Atomic Age" coat (or hat) rack was very popular in the 50s, and throughout the 60s. It is perfect for a mid-century style entrance.

What is interesting with this one is that, apart from the fact that it is in good condition, it has the wooden balls, and not the plastic ones.

This W shaped coat rack is very typical of what is called the "Atomic Age" as the colourful balls were inspired by atoms and mollecules.

It is made of white metal and wood. It has not been restored, but kept in its original condition.
The metal shows light signs of age on the front, and a few more signs of age on the reverse (the side that is against the wall). No rust on the hooks, but some signs of age. The balls are also in good condition, with just a few marks and scuffs.

Please see all photos, as they are part of the description.

I have got another one which has been painted dark red by its first owner. Please ask for pictures if you are interested in it, I will add them to this article.

This side (photos below) shows more signs of age.

The colourful balls and the branches.
