Learn to play chess with you private chess tutor ! :-)

Once you have taught yourself to play chess with this chess tutor, I am sure you will say, like Bobby Fischer : "All I want to do, ever, is just play Chess", and certainly not, like Garry Kasparov : "Chess is a mental torture".   ;-)

Ok, I probably took Kasparov's quote out of its context !  ;-)

But if you are a philosopher, and Fischer is not your favourite player either, you may prefer to say, like Benjamin Franklin : "Life is a kind of Chess, with struggle, competition, good and ill events", or to quote this Chinese proverb : "Life is like a game of Chess, changing with each move".

Whatever quote suits you the best, you will love this Chess Tutor game by MB Games.

It was released in 1975 for students 10 years and older, and this is the original first edition.

It is a "step by step" method that teaches you the rules in a very clear way.

Learn how to move each plastic piece and solve problems by inserting the pages, following the numerical order, under the transparent plastic playing board.

All the pieces and sheets of paper have been checked (without any play on word...) and none are missing. All pages have been sorted by numerical order, so the game is ready to be used !  :-)

Page N°33 is a bit damaged as you can see on the photo. The cardboard playing board is slightly convex, due to age. The box is more yellow and looks older than it appears on the photos. The front side of the box is a bit scratched (see very first photo).

The reverse side of the box is a bit yellow too, although you can't see it very well on the picture.

The paper on the top right corner of the box is a bit unglued.

Now that you know how to play, would you like a game of chess with somebody ?

Page 33, below, is a bit damaged.

A label has been stuck on one of the sides.
