Vintage Pyrosil orange dish from the early 1970s.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DISH HAS A LIGHT CRACK WHICH MAKES IT UNSUITABLE FOR USING IN AN OVEN OR ON A STOVE. THIS DISH MIGHT BREAK IF YOU HEAT IT.
FOR DISPLAY ONLY, OR TO BE USED IN THE KITCHEN AS A SALAD BOWL OR A FRUIT BOWL.

This great Pyrosil orange dish is made of glass. It was originally considered as a frying pan. Its name was the "Frypan".

You just needed to catch it with a special detachable handle, which was not sold with the pan and had to be bought as an "extra".

Do you remember these handles ? They were very popular in the 1970s !

The lid is missing. Be careful if you are looking for the original lid on the internet as the original one (which is very hard to find) has round domed dimples all the way round, so do not buy anything else.

The Frypan was made in The Netherlands in the early 70s by James A Jobling (JAJ) & Co Ltd.

Let's have a close look at it, all the way round :

Here is the scratch :
