Vintage Atomic Age style magazine rack. 1950s.

SORRY, THIS ITEM IS SOLD !

Perfect magazine rack to put all your vintage newspapers, especially those from the Atomic age...

"Atomic style" (or "Atomic Age") refers to a certain style of design used from the 1940s to the 1960s.

Some people use the expression "Sputnik style" to refer to the style used in the 50s, as Sputnik was a Soviet spacecraft, and the Soviets were then leading the space exploration before the Americans overtook them.

I totally love Atomic Age design, and this is why I am happy to present this fantastic Atomic newspaper or magazine rack.

It is made of metal, and painted in white. The feet and protections are made of hard black plastic. No extra coat of paint has been added since this rack was made.

Of course, you can not expect such an old item to be in perfect condition. This magazine rack has a few scratches on it, but on the whole it is in good condition for its age. It is possible to add a coat of white paint for metal, or even to change the colour !
